This comment makes me sooo happy! What lovely things to say. I did wonder whether readers might question how realistic it was that James was out, but not at home. You've articulated what I was trying to grasp at. Thank you so much for that. Also, I do think that Harry would have reacted better than James feared if only James had actually told him, and he hadn't caught them at it. The guilt got mixed up with all the other reactions and he couldn't do anything after that.
Thanks for saying that about Teddy's alienation. He couldn't stay in Finland, though, because James. And Teddy/James which is the big bang. But also, his family such as it was was in Britain. He had to at least try to rejoin them.
